New alien amphipods found in the Pripyat River

Two new amphipod species, i.e. Obesogammarus obesus and Obesogammarus crassus, were found in June 2008 in the Belarusian part of the Pripyat River. This finding was published by Semenchenko and Vezhnovetz (2008) in the recent issue of the open access e-journal Aquatic Invasions. Both new amphipod species have been added to our database.
